Nonino 'Best Distillery in the World 2019' by Wine EnthusiastIn the night of 27 January 2020, at the prestigious Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco Nonino Distillery is elected 'Best Distillery in the World 2019' Spirit Brand/Distiller of the Year by Wine Enthusiast it is the first Italian distillery and the first Grappa brand to be awarded in twenty years.Nonino Family has devoted itself to the art of Distillation since 1897; in 1973 they create the single varietal Grappa, Monovitigno Nonino, and revolutionize the way of producing and introducing Grappa in Italy and throughout the world. In 1984 they distill the whole grape and create the Grape Distillate UE (Ministerial Authorization for the production of the Grape Distillate D.M. 20.10.84). In 2003 they are awared the prestigious Leonardo Prize for Italian Quality for "the absolute Quality, Research and Innovation", the Noninos are considered "the true Ambassadors of Italian Grappa throughout the World". October 2019, Vienna, the Nonino family is awarded the 'Special Prize' for 'Bar Culture' by the prestigious falstaff magazine. January 2020 Nonino is the first Italian and Grappa brand awarded "Spirit Brand of the Year / Distiller of the Year" by the prestigious and influential American magazine Wine Enthusiast.Nonino Grappa, UE and Distillates are obtained from fresh primary products distilled 100% with artisanal method in their own copper batch steam stills in Ronchi di Percoto. Nonino Aged and Riserva Grappa, UE and Distillates have always followed a natural ageing in barriques and small casks under seal and permanent surveillance by the Customs and Monopoly Agency in the 7 Grappa Ageing Warehouses of the Nonino Distilleries and are bottled with 0% color additives.The Noninos carry on the evolution of Grappa - Italian Cocktail Spirit, protagonist of fabulous cocktails and Aperitifs."The wide collection of Nonino cocktails is (^) a perfect example of how a company can preserve its identity making experiments with its products".
