Musetti's history starts in Piacenza more than eighty years ago and nowadays the Company is present in 60 Countries in the 5 continents.How did we reach such a goal? Daily work, passion and sacrifice are the main ingredients of all our blends. Our love for coffee never changed in these years, fully dedicated in our objective: pour in the cup an excellent product able to pass on to all customers our devotion. This is exactly why unique blends have been created over time to satisfy tastes and needs. The endless pursuit of excellence is the cornerstone of our work as proved by the several and strict controls on the whole manufacturing process, from the selection of green coffee to packaging and distribution. The several certifications obtained over the years testify our job: an objective proof of our coffees' quality.1934, the Beginning.Luigi Musetti founds the "House of Coffee", a shop in the centre of Piacenza. Every day he patiently and carefully prepares the first Musetti coffee using just a small roaster. Efforts are rewarded by customers' satisfaction.The 2nd World War.The State stops coffee import, making it very difficult to find raw materials. Luigi has to face a hard period of troubles and at the end of the war he rolls up his sleeves and begins expanding the business. The city hungers for progress, the first cars are circulating and people smile again. Supported by his wife Dina and his children Lucia and Achille, Luigi decides to enlarge his small trade and in 1960 the dream comes true: and Musetti becomes a Company.Musetti's travels.Luigi Musetti is a far-seeing man: he starts travelling to introduce the quality of his product so much that in the 70s Musetti coffee comes to the first important coffee fair. When Luigi dies, his wife Dina, supported by their children Lucia and Achille, goes on with the business. Lucia deals with the purchase of green coffee, the tasting of raw material and production. On the other side, Achille starts to travel worldwide, as his father did, to create a network of contacts that will lead Musetti products to be appreciated abroad. France, United States, Japan, UK, in a few years Musetti becomes an international product.1997, the New Generations.Lucia and Achille, the 2nd Musetti generation, take the leadership. They begin to work all together to get ahead with the family dream.2003, the Plant.Musetti moves to Pontenure, in the Piacenza district. Here they build a modern plant where the technological innovations allow the Company to process raw materials in a better way and to offer a superior quality coffee. A vacuum packaging process is developed to keep longer the intense aroma of true Italian espresso. In 2003, they found The Musetti Coffee Academy, the Italian school for professionals and coffee lovers.2004, a Strong Woman.Lucia takes over the reins of the Company, immediately demonstrating to be a businesswoman of character and able to look ahead without forgetting her origins. Her son Guido joins her in this new course. 2013, extension.The logistic area is extended by 1800 square meters with a total of 800 additional pallet places. It is a clear signal that the family goes on dreaming big.2014, Eighty Years of Coffee.The Company, led by Lucia Musetti and her son Guido, celebrates 80 years of activity. From the foundation, many things have changed but the dream of producing great coffee and spreading its culture has remained unchanged, not to mention Musetti tradition and roots. That is the reason why Lucia goes on tasting coffee personally with the same care and passion as ever.2016, the New Coffee Academy.The Musetti Coffee Academy is reorganized to turn into a multimedia reality. The Academy uses the latest technologies both in classrooms and in the coffees used for practice as both are essential for the today and tomorrow bartenders training.2020, Towards the future: always respectful of our tradition and ready for innovation!
